National Arthritis Awareness Month

Did you know that Arthritis is the top form of disability in America?
According to a recent article published by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, nearly 1 in 5 U.S. adults, 46 million Americans, are suffering from some form or Arthritis.

With the aging of the baby boomers, that number is expected to grow to nearly 67 million Americans by the year 2030.

  • Arthritis strikes more women than men; 24.3 million women; 17.1 million men

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, “It is important to keep in mind that there are many forms of arthritis, and a specific diagnosis of the type you have may help to direct the proper treatment. Although there is no cure for most types of arthritis, early diagnosis and appropriate management are important, especially for inflammatory types of arthritis.”
